Sharon Kim, MD is a board-certified dermatologist who truly cares about her patients and the field of Dermatology. Ever since she was young, Dr. Kim wanted to become a Dermatologist because she experienced as a child the physical and mental impact of having dermatological conditions. For her, becoming a skilled Dermatologist was her lifetime goal.
Dr. Kim is grateful for the privilege to care for patients of all ages with skin conditions ranging from skin cancers to cosmetic concerns. Dr. Kim’s approach is to treat her patients with individualized, tailored treatment plans. It is also very important to her that her patients receive science-based medicine.
She grew up in Houston, and received all of her higher education and medical training in Texas. She graduated with High Honors at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Nutritional Sciences and studying Medical Ethics. She then attended Baylor College of Medicine for her MD and Internal Medicine internship. For her Dermatology residency, she trained at UT Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she was the chief resident and worked with world renowned Dermatologists. Dr. Kim also researched, published and gave presentations on Dermatology. She is currently active in Houston Dermatological Society, Texas Dermatological Society and American Academy of Dermatology.
When she is not taking care of patients, Dr. Kim enjoys traveling the world, trying out new restaurants, reading books, and spending time with her friends and family. She is always open to getting recommendations on restaurants, books, and podcasts from her patients!
