Tara Akunna is a board certified dermatologist who graduated residency from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2022, serving as chief resident during her final year. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from Baylor University and obtained her MD from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2018. Dr. Akunna has special interest in Skin of Color and is a member of the Skin of Color Society. As a native Houstonian, she is delighted to be home and provide patient care to the community and is committed to science based care for your general, cosmetic and surgical dermatology needs. In addition to her professional work, Tara Akunna enjoys baking and traveling in her free time.
